The Role.
Candi Therapy partners with organizations in Nunavut, Canada, to provide mental health consulting services for schools in Inuit communities. Through collaboration, we strive to improve mental health outcomes in ways that align with the unique priorities and values of each community.
Our mental health consulting services aim to build the mental health capacity of school staff while identifying and addressing the specific mental health needs of students within their community context.
Through mental health education and professional development opportunities, we work to expand knowledge and best practices in schools, while honoring the diverse and unique mental health needs of the communities we serve.
Additionally, Candi Therapy actively seeks partnerships with other organizations to support initiatives that promote mental wellness, cultural preservation, and community well-being.
The Work.
Collaborating with partners to identify gaps in mental health needs and establish actionable goals to enhance students' mental health through a holistic, culturally-informed, and evidence-based approach.
Conducting individual and group consultations with school staff to assess their mental health needs and make informed decisions about effective practices and strategies.
Overseeing the planning and implementation of initiatives that align with the identified goals and contribute to meaningful improvements in mental health outcomes.
